This joke may have been blogged somewhere already, but when I heard about a TB outbreak at Palmerston North Boys High School I immediately thought "Oh, no, there'll be an outbreak of bad poetry following soon after!"
I guess the staunch lads of 'Palmie' are unlikely to be end up wear a surfeit of lace, swallowing laudanum, and wandering lonely as nightingales in an antique land. But there's always that risk.
And as we all know, TB is a gateway illness to syphilis. And the clap. So the good citizens of bechurched Palmie, that famous "Tawa of the Manawatu", must be ever vigilant.
