Goddess bless Neko Case

I still want to add "Arrr" to everything today, but I swear to god that every lyrics site I've found has the words to I Wish I Was the Moon wrong.

Here's what I think they are.

Your lyrics seem right to my eyes and ears.

But, I've still got that problem I mentioned years ago when it comes to Neko Case's singing. I love her voice, I love her songs, I love how the music and lyrics feel and sound... but, for the life of me, I can't make out the words.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who this happens to - some combination of music and some timbre of the singers voice means I can sense, feel and love every nuance. I know what each song is trying to say, what it means - but can't make out what the words are actually saying.

Yeah, I know what you mean. She doesn't make it easy. I don't mind at all, though.

I've become convinced that the last two lines of "Things That Scare Me" don't actually repeat after all, but slightly vary:

Hunted by American dreams
Haunted by American dreams
