Was it Hip-Hip Is Dead by Nas? I'll admit that the title track from his new album is a tad old-fashioned but it's certainly passionate.

Was it The Road to Peace by Tom Waits? This seven-minute epic is the most overtly political song I've heard from the master. From the monumental new release Orphans (possibly his most essential album to date).

Was it Kilo by Ghostface? This cocaine-soaked track from Fishscale has an irresistable hook.
