This morning, my radio said to me, "I was working part-time in the Five And Dime, my boss was Mr. McGee. He told me several times that he didn't like my kind, because I was a bit too leisurely. I was always busy doing something close to nothing, but different from the day before. That's when I saw her - oh, I saw her - she walked in through the Out door. She wore a raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second-hand store. Raspberry beret, and when it was warm she didn't wear much more. Raspberry beret, I think I love her.
"Built like she was, she had the nerve to ask me if I meant to do her any harm. So I put her on the back of my bike and we went riding down by Old Man Johnson's farm. Overcast days never turn me on, but something about the clouds and her mixed. She wasn't too bright, but when she kissed me I knew she knew how to get her kicks."
Thank you, Mr PR Nelson.
I've just been reading reviews of Pauly Shore's recent writing/directing debut, Pauly Shore Is Dead.
They're all positive. Some of them are absolute raves. Everybody is like, "I can't believe how good this movie is."
Check out this cast:
Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Tom Sizemore, Chris Rock, Tommy Chong, Snoop Dogg, Perry Farrell, Michael Madsen, Jerry Springer, Jason Mewes, Vince Vaughan, Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen Degeneres... There's more. The good the lame AND the ugly.
Then again, Bio-Dome had Kylie Minogue performing oral sex on a carrot and it still wasn't worth seeing.
Posted by pearce at September 29, 2004 4:20 PMHave you heard the Hindu Love Gods' (Mr Zevon and most of REM, I think) version?
Posted by: davidr at September 29, 2004 3:38 PMYeah man! It's a great version - the best Hindu Love Gods tracks (the rest are blues standards, Robert Johnson etc). It loses Prince's psychedelic atmosphere, but makes up for it by rocking.
