...bzzt....zztt...krshhhh....

I am not dead.

I am back at work.

I just opened a packet of wine gums, and one side of it was white and yellow wine-gums only. Creepy.

I'll write more when I have the chance. There is a fair bit to write. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, etc etc.

Oh, and to those who are going to Kapcon -- I'm thinking of running a game where the players run a service to look after the pets of the rich and famous in 1950s Hollywood, using the Inspectres engine. For example,I figure that giving a bunch of untrained schmucks a "pet" grizzlie bear to look after should provide some comic high-jinks, especially if a rock'n'roll band is trying to "borrow" him for use in their concert... Good idea, bad idea?

I think the plot is a good sound idea. Myself, I would be a bit nervous about using a narrative resolution system (I think that's the correct term??) in a convention setting. It might also scare some players. However, I am sure you can freestyle your way through though :-).

Heya,

I enjoyed the Army Narrative games last time, they were a lot of fun.

I also rekon Bears are cool, how bad could it be?

Cheers

Andy -- I failed to mention that I've already run an "early 50s military vs weird science" game using the InSpectres system last Kapcon, and it seemed to work fairly well. (In fact, I managed to run two "missions" in the allotted time, and people seemed to enjoy themselves -- it's what I won the award for best individual game for. ;)

Of course! Hell, I should have remembered, I was _there_ myself :-). Damn my premature senility :-).

Good idea. Bears good. 50s good. 50s bears (drinking scotch and soda on the rocks and worrying about the communists) very good.

Maybe the players should be the pets, and you should NPC the hapless sitters? No, wait, _that_'s a bad idea.
