Since I'm having trouble putting these lists on my Palm, as an interim measure here are:

The greatest failure in your collection I can see is the lack of a copy of Mr. Gibson's Neuromancer. According to a quick count you have 1,468 books and yet that beloved tome is not one of them...
You must remedy immediately, or else you must lend me your entire collection of 'Invisibles'! The choice is your's.
I am aware of some of the sad and gaping holes in my collection, unfortunately; what's worse, about 2/15ths of the fiction books are read, perhaps slightly more.
Of course, this trip will probably add to the total - I only brought two books with me, and they are both non-fiction: Stephen Pinkers "Words and Rules", and H.V. Morton's "The Call of England". I started with Pinker, and that may have been a mistake - I've been staying up late to try to mess with my body-clock, and I'm not sure I'm up to dealing with theoretical linguistics. Post-Great War meanderings about the English countryside would probably be more forgiving... on the other hand, I'm already well in to chapter four, so too late to turn back now. :)
Posted by: Svend at August 6, 2004 1:13 AMArgh - I can't log into moveable type from this free internet kiosk. I suspect it's a cookie-related issue. :(
Just in case Paul Thomas is reading this - I'll need your phone number when I get to London, and I'm not sure I'll be able to check my MCS email. Please send to my wetafx.co.nz address (same username as the mcs one), since I've got web-mail access for that. (Which I *also* can't check here, for some reason. :( )
Off to look at shops for a couple of hours, and maybe find a proper Internet cafe. :)
